Interview with Athel Forsythia
Question: So, your character in this book is very different from the first two. How did you prepare?
Answer: Good question.
Question: Thank you, I thought of it myself.
Answer: Well, I took a few months off during production to research the role. I wanted to see how real royals behaved, so I went to the usual places. Stephen King’s estate, Graceland, Michael Jackson’s memorial, Burger King, places like that.
Question: They halted production just for you?
Answer: What? No, I just didn’t show up for a few months. The Director had kittens. And, by that I mean he went out and bought some kittens. He’s odd like that.
Question: I thought he was allergic to cats?
Answer: Oh he is, terribly so. He’d show up to set bloated and purple like a blueberry. He said it was all my fault, but, of course, I didn’t believe him.
Question: And what did you learn in your research?
Answer: I learned that when you are the star of a popular franchise, you can basically do whatever you want and they still won’t fire you because they can’t. It’s actually impossible for them to make the book without me. Once I realized that, my life became a song. Did you know that Chris Pratt will dance the Macarena for you if his agent tells him to? It’s pretty awesome.
Question: Some people have said that it’s harder to portray a good heroine than a good hero. What is your opinion?
Answer: I dunno, I’ve never been a man. All I know how to be is me, which is pretty awesome, because I own a castle.
Question: You have your own castle?
Answer: Yeah, it’s the one Nicolas Cage used to own. It’s pretty sweet. He left behind the biggest collection of back scratchers I’ve ever seen.
Question: So, would you say wealth and fame have changed you?
Answer: Me? Nah. I’ve always been a spoiled brat, it’s just that now I can get away with it.
