Mandi Changes into a Unicorn

Mandi silently strode in, Molly’s feet pattering quickly to catch up to her. When they reached the bottom of the stone stairs, they found rows of dark glass containers, filled with a pulsating green liquid.

Molly wrapped her arms around Mandi’s leg. “Are these like the tanks they put me in?” she whimpered.

Mandi reached down and patted her head. “It’s all right. These ones are empty.”

“What are you going to do?”

“I’m going to make sure they can never be used to hurt any more little girls ever again.”

Mandi removed her coat, and then her flesh tore itself apart, sloughing down to the floor as her black bones took on a larger, hunching form. Her skin and muscle slid back up, forming powerful muscles and leathery skin. Finally, a thin layer of rough black hair sprouted out on her arms and back, and big rocky teeth filled her maw.

Mandi pulled back her now ogre-like hands and formed a ball of black fire between them.

“Hey,” Molly pouted. “I thought you were going to be a unicorn.”

Mandi rolled her eyes. “Unicorns don’t breathe fire,” she explained, her voice now deep and mannish.

Molly stuck out her lip. “I like it when you’re a unicorn.”

“Okay, fine,” Mandi huffed. She exploded and changed her form yet again, now standing on four hooves, two great feathered wings sprawling out around her.

“Here, a fire-breathing unicorn; are you happy?”

Molly giggled. “That’s not a unicorn, that’s a pegasus.”

Mandi shook her head and snorted. “Crap, let me try again.”

Her body and wings changed color to purple, her eyes becoming pink, and a purple horn sprouted from her forehead.

Molly laughed. “That’s not a unicorn, that’s an alicorn.”

“Yeah and we’re gonna’ get sued if you don’t get it right,” the director cautioned.

Mandi stamped her hoof. “Hey, this isn’t easy, okay?”
