Mina Duvare Interview

Question: What did you think of the story?

Answer: Well, the book really isn't Mina's story, nor is any particular page about Mina, but still I think that I was allowed the freedom to fill many, many, scenes with my Mina-ness.

Question: What was your first impression of Captain Evere?

Answer: Hmmm, you know, I think my first impression was "Wow! That man has a huge head." No, seriously, I love him to death, he's really dashing and all that, but he has the biggest physical head I have ever seen on a person. Privet has the biggest head ego-wise, but Evere has the biggest head, like, the size of it. You know what?...I probably shouldn't have told you that. Can you edit that out? This isn't going to be posted, is it?

Question: What do you remember most about making the book?

Answer: Oh, I totally remember the day were writing the picnic scene on the cliff. It was so cold that day, and there was this, like icy wind that kept blowing all around, knocking over things and whipping up the leaves. Oh, those leaves cheesed me off so bad. They kept getting caught in my fur. I'd, like, try to pick them out in-between takes but the wind would blow again and there would be three more in there. In fact, if you go back and read chapter 20, you'll see that I was actually picking a leaf out of my tail in one of the sentences. I was sure they'd throw it out, but that made it into the final draft.

Question: Are you looking forward to working with everyone again in the sequel?

Answer: Oh, definitely. I won't say who, but there is a certain member of the cast that I'm really looking forward to working with again.
